My name is Alexandra (Alex) and I'm so glad you're here!

I can't remember a time in my life when I wasn't holding a camera! I distinctly remember being little and having a camera my uncle brought home from overseas - it went with me everywhere. Or, any time my mom and I would go to the store, I can remember being enthusiastic about disposable cameras (remember the days?). As I grew older, this turned into a passion above anything else! My phone currently has 27,102 photos on it (blame an iCloud backup from when I got a new phone a few years ago) and I don't think a day goes by where I don't snap a photo of ~something.~

Anyway, I remember being gifted a Sony point-and-shoot in middle school and it went with me, quite literally, everywhere. From garden nurseries to family vacations, I found any excuse I could to bring my camera. Then, eventually, for my 14th birthday I was given a Canon Rebel T3i - the very camera I still shoot on today. I know, in theory it's outdated and in mechanics it certainly could be updated, which I'm in the process of doing, but it holds such a special place in my heart that I know I'll never fully part ways with it, even once I've upgraded (stay tuned on when that will happen!).

All of this to say, I greatly love photography. I love the smiles and the candid expressions you see in between poses, the moments between couples or the excitement during a great event. While this is "just" a hobby of mine, it's one I so enjoy and want to share with anyone who wants to be a part of it.
